Thermos Smart Lid App Reviews

Great product but no Fitbit connection

While this bottle is like any other Thermos bottle, the fact you can pair it to your smartphone is what makes it great. The Thermos smart app has very good information regarding water intake. The only problem I have is the Thermos app is suppose to pair with the Fitbit app. IT DOES NOT.

Enjoying so far but needs some tweaks

Im really enjoying this bottle so far and the app is simple and easy to use but there are a few tweaks needed. 1) Realtime updates into FitBit. The whole point of Fitbit is live monitoring so it doesnt make sense it only syncs after you have drunk an entire bottle. 2) I noticed that if I decide to fill the bottle if I havent finished all the water, it thinks I drank more than I have. This is a HUGE problem as many people prefer to be able to fill their bottle whenever they have access to water, not wait till its empty.

Fitbit Intergration

The App sync to my Fitbit account easily, but I have drunk two bottles and it has not updated on my Fitbit page yet!!

App leaves a lot to be desired

Love the Smart Lid bottle and concept but the app leaves a lot to be desired. There are large errors in calculations such average daily ounces, you cant manually add water drank through other means (flavored waters via a plastic water bottle, etc.) and the app doesnt provide the battery level of the bottle. The battery is a total guessing game. Looking forward to many enhancements.

Health? Apple Health?

Thermoss app lacks the ability to sync data to Apple Health; it only supports syncing with FitBit. This is one of those total head-scratcher decisions.

Good idea; needs work

Its a great concept, but needs some work. Was working fine until update came out, which will not load completely. Now app wont open. Should tell me when I need to drink more, as well as allow manual entry for drinking tea, bottled water, etc. For the price I expected more.

What happened??

Was working fine till a few days ago, now it shows the level and temperature but doesnt update the activity. Even uninstalled and reinstalled and the same thing is still happening. Not sure if its the app or what because this started before the latest update. I was going to purchase another Smart Lid bottle for the wife but l may have wasted money on this one if this doesnt work. Would be nice if it also connected to Apple Health if this starts working again!

Update messed up app

Love the water bottle itself and the app interface, however doesnt remind me often enough to drink water on the "auto" setting. For example, I didnt fill up my bottle and take a drink until after 12:30 in the afternoon - only then did it remind me I was off track. That reminder should have came hours before that. After the last update Im having even more issues getting the app and bottle to connect Also would like to see Apple Watch app and connection to Apple Health

Great App! Need to Add Apple Watch Support

Having no issues following the latest update. The app is working just fine. I would really like to see Apple Watch capability added.

More pain than its worth

It was great at first. Now I have to recalibrate the lid every time I fill up and even then, Im still having problems with it. Looking at my bottle now, its about a third full, but if I open up the app its telling me its complete full. I drank three full bottles yesterday and even calibrated it multiple times, and it still says I only drank 21 oz, which is way off considering the bottle holds 24 oz. Im hoping new updates will fix these problems in the future, but for now its kind of useless.

Great but...

Great idea but after this past update something seems to be off. It isnt keeping a good track of the water Im drinking like it did before the update. Once everything is fixed maybe adding a "widget" thing to view how much water has been consumed would be cool.

Great idea, not quite there

Im a few weeks into using my smartlid. I use it all day, every day. 4 star rating from me because Im actually drinking (more) water which was the primary goal for purchasing this bottle. I like the overall simplicity of the app. I have some thoughts on improvements. Here are a few reasons that prevented the 5 star: 1. I dont get auto reminders pushed to my phone if Im off track. Ill only see them when I access the app. Really defeats the purpose of auto push reminders if I have to manually access them. 2. I usually have to re-calibrate once a week. Not the biggest problem, but still it would be nice not to have to do this so often. 3. When looking at the weekly and monthly totals, the average intake is divided across the entire week/month, not the number of days past. The metric thats available is ok, I guess. The average consumed being spread across future days doesnt really help me much. Id rather know that in x days I drank and average of x. 4. Doesnt always seem to accurately sync with the FitBit app. Im not too fussed about this, but would be great to be accurate.

Syncing Issues

Was working fine now after the update serious syncing issues. Help, I need this fixed.

HealthKit

If this app supported HealthKit/the Apple Health app, Id buy two bottles instantly. Until then, no thanks. Fitbit sync doesnt cut it since all my data remains locked in at Fitbit :(

It’s Close!

No doubt that this product has made some positive impact to the amount of water I drink in the day. I personally need a little more than just the ability to track…I would like to see the option to get push notifications with status updates in some form of intervals, as well as reminders if you’re not meeting a goal by a certain time of the day. Support for Apple Watch to receive these notifications as well. This would make it a 5 star in my book.

Doesnt sync with Fitbit

The lid worked flawlessly for about a week, then as others have mentioned the update ruined the app. I have uninstalled, removed the lid, put it to sleep and most every other option offered as a suggestion. Nothing works!! The whole reason I purchased the bottle was to not have to manually track my water intake. I admit Im spoiled by the technology available for my health, and this is just not up to par.

Not as advertised, does not sync with Fitbit

Only reason I got this was to use with my Fitbit , Im highly disappointed

Nice, but not great.

I bought this, specifically because it links with my Fitbit. Unlike many others, my problem is generally OVERhydration, so Im not using this to promote additional water intake. I would like to see an option that shows the sync history with Fitbit and an option that lets you "force" the platforms to sync. Outside of that, theres not a very strong user interface. Theres really not much happening in this app. Its a lot of wasted space that would benefit from some expansion. Unlike my other thermos water bottle, Im not overly impressed with the durability of this product. Youd think that for the asking price, this would be their most durable water bottle yet. Not so much.

Tracker not working

My tracker recently quit working. It will not tell me how much Ive drank all day

Not Happy

I am less than thrilled. I bought this because I not only wanted to drink more water, as well as track it, but ESPECIALLY because this is one of the few smart water bottles out there that syncs with Fitbit. Everything else works except for the fact that it wont sync with Fitbit. It makes me wonder if my money would have been better spent on a Hidrate Spark Smart Bottle. I will try contacting the company to see if they will fix this problem, if not then it was a waste of my money! >:(
